This policy explains what personal data Kafer collects when you visit kafer.me or contact us, why we use it and what rights you have. We process data in line with the Montenegrin Law on Personal Data Protection and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible for your data

What we collect

Data you send us: your name, email, phone number, company name and message when you fill in the contact form, ask for a quote or write to us directly.
Usage data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and time of visit. We collect this through cookies and analytics tools, and only with your consent where consent is required.
Client data: once you become a client, we keep what we need to prepare quotes, contracts and invoices.

Why we use it

to answer your enquiry and prepare a quote,
to deliver the services we agreed on and meet legal obligations such as accounting,
to understand how the site is used and improve it,
to send you news or offers, but only if you have agreed to that.

The legal basis is your consent, performing a contract or taking steps before one, a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in running and improving our business.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, email services and Google Analytics. They process it on our instructions. We may also hand data to authorities when the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store data outside Montenegro, including in the EU and the US. When that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into a project are kept for up to 24 months. Client data is kept for the length of our work together and for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how we process it, and receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing done before that. Send your request to hello@kafer.me and we will reply within 30 days.

If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Montenegrin Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information.

Security

The site runs over encrypted HTTPS and only people who need the data for their work can access it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information.
